What draws us to This Church

Why I love this church? The connection with these authentic and warm people! I come as I am — happy, sad or angry — and I'm accepted. They bring out the best in me!
When I came through the doors of CCAV, UCC (Congregational Church of Almaden Valley, United Church of Christ), I felt so welcome and comfortable with the people and surroundings. I was drawn to come back & have continued to do so, for over 2 years now.

Our congregation has served Almaden Valley for over 50 years. Our Congregationalist spiritual roots through the UCC go back to the Mayflower!

We, with our UCC fellows, believe God is still speaking. We look for the living, still speaking God to lead us in the ways of justice, peace, and compassion.
Learned Clergy
We value and employ ordained leaders who have extensive theological and academic credentials and maintain standing in the UCC with rigorous standards.
Community Outreach
Serving the community has always been at the core of who we are and what we do. We give of our time, talent, and treasure to serve God's people and be stewards of creation.
Fellowship
Sharing our faith journey together, helping and cheering one another on along the way is our great joy. Of course a lot of that goes along with coffee and food...
